Reyna Wilson Obituary

Published by Legacy on Mar. 27, 2023.
Reyna Marielle Wilson
16 years old
Born on May 5th, 2006 in Mazatenango, Guatemala
Died on March 22, 2023
We lost our special girl who was important to so many. She was a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, friend, and teammate. Reyna surrendered her fight with mental illness and we take comfort in knowing that her heart and mind will never hurt again. Reyna adored her cats and was a kind and gentle soul who was accepting of all people. A loving sister, she leaves behind two brothers, Lukas and Niko. A caring cat mama, she leaves behind her 2 cats Finnagen and Fiona. She was a gifted artist and her passion for music was like no other. She was incredibly strong, both physically and mentally. She was a gifted athlete and had a passion for exercise and sports. The relationships she built through her sports teams gave her enjoyment and strength. We greatly appreciate all of the coaches, teammates, friends and families who loved our girl and supported her. The disease of mental illness robbed Reyna of the long and happy life she deserved. Jodie, you and I met at a hotel in St Cloud when our girls played each other. (MH Warriors) You and I sat together at a game and laughed and talked about our teams and our daughters. I just heard about Reyna from my daughter and thought of you then had a moment. I'm so so sorry for this. There are no words that can meet this moment. My husband and I know what it's like to lose a daughter and it's a club that no one wants to have a membership but here we are. I wanted you to know that even though we never got sit together again, you were on my mind. Reyna is still a beautiful girl, helluva ball player, and will always be your baby. Love to you and your family. - Stacy, Rick, and Avery Franco.
