Rhea Collier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNeil's Funeral Service on Jan. 12, 2026.
Rhea Bud Collier Jr., 86, of Union City, OK entered into Glory on January 10, 2026. He was born in OKC on February 12, 1939. He graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1957. Soon after, he met his wife Laurencene Clark. They married in Cordell, OK on July 7, 1959. They started a family in 1960, completing their family with having 6 children: Laura Lin, Rhea Bud III, Frank Allen, Daniel Jason, Brenna Elise, and Ta'Rhea Leigh.
The Colliers moved to Union City in 1972, where they made countless friends and extended family. "Uncle Bud" was a faithful member of Union City First Baptist Church. He served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and was devoted to the Youth Ministry. Bud was an avid supporter of many missionary organizations and was a believer in sowing seeds into those ministries. He and Linda served 25 plus years as Falls Creek/ Church Camp Coordinators. Uncle Bud spoke often and would share many stories about Christian fellowship. While he was a father of six, his love and home were open to countless other kids from the community and church. First rule, if you spent the night on Saturday, you went to church with the family on Sunday!
He is survived by his brother-in-law, Johnnie Bell. His children Rhea Collier, Frank Collier, and wife Judy, Dan Collier, and wife Theresa, Brenna Moore, and husband Garland, and Ta'Rhea Collier. His grandchildren Beau Trudeau, Natasha Hess, Rhea Collier IV, Cody Collier and wife Kelsey, Nick Collier, Taylor Collier, David Moore and wife Charity, and Wyatt Collier-Ramey. Great Grandchildren Faith Hess, Willow Collier, Jacob, Madison, and Lila Moore. Many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Laurencene Collier, daughter, Laura Trudeau, his parents, Ray and Ruby Collier, his siblings, Rheamah Lang, Claudette Bell, June Straka, brother-in-law, Vernon Straka, WA "Whorton" Collier, wife Sharen Collier and his beloved dog, Zeus.
In special memory and honoring Dad, we want to share our witnesses of his life. He was a prayer warrior and kept a long list of people he brought to the Lord. If you are here today, it is almost a given that he has prayed for you and your family.
He was always willing when called upon to help people in need. If you came to the Collier home and left hungry, it was your own fault. He was a nurturer who provided care, support, encouragement, focusing on the growth and well-being of others. An important message he spoke into others daily- "Has anyone told you today? Then he would say I want to be the second person to tell you that I love you." To the ones he said this to often, he would ask, "You haven't forgotten, have you?" Then he would say, "Love ya!" So, for one last time from our dad to each of you "Love ya!" He prayed and desires to see all of you in heaven.
Love, Uncle Bud

I am Beverly White of Oklahoma City, I am so sorry for your loss. I thought I would add a few words about Buddy. If I could find my early pictures I would share with you. Buddy and I started Kindergarten together at Columbus Grade School on South 25th and Penn. We were in the same classroom each grade until going to 7th grade. At Jackson Jr High I started hanging with girls and naturally he started hanging with the guys. Then at Capitol Hill High School we shared several classes. Buddy has always been a kind and gentle person. As a child Buddy and I had tetter-tottered, slided on the metal slide and tried to see who could swing the highest. In later years when we happened to attend the reunions for schools we always made sure to visit and attempt to catch up. As always, he was a kind and gentle man, and adding a little humorous side. Every time we had the chance to visit he would ask me to sing "Lavender Blue", a song I sang in the first grade. I know his children will need blessings for comfort of grief feeling now. I am sending this in hopes knowing a few things about his younger years might brighten your day. I knew in kindergarten Buddy would grow up to be a very good man and I knew he would be a wonderful disciple for Christ. I feel very honored that I knew him for a young portion of his life.
