Rhea Savell Obituary

Rhea Savell
April 4, 1935 ~ December 28, 2021
With great sadness we announce that Rhea (Brown) Savell of Orange, Connecticut passed away the evening of December 28th, 2021 at 86 years old.
Rhea was born April 4th, 1935 to Al and Ethel (Plotkin) Brown in Bridgeport, CT. She was predeceased by bothers Robert and Sanford Brown. For 62 years, Rhea was the beloved wife of the late Stanton Savell (2010). Rhea is survived by her loving daughters: Jodi Harrison Bauer( Dr. Frank Bauer)of Branford, CT; Sharon Savell (Julie Savell) of Coram, NY; Marci Dever( William) of Decatur, GA; and granddaughters, Elyssa and Alexis Harrison.
Always an active member of her community, Rhea served as a member of Hadassah's CT chapter, ORT America and her local PTA. She was a Brownie Scout Leader and head of the 9 Holer's Club at Oaklane Country Club in Woodbridge, CT.
Rhea was impossible not to notice. She ran every room she walked into with her iconic, bright sweatsuits, infectious smile and irresistible sweet talk. A true firecracker, Rhea had a zest for life that was unmatched and a strength that never wavered throughout her years. She loved her family, driving her convertible, the color yellow, fashion, traveling to the Bahamas, playing mahjong and event-planning for her beloved 9 Holer's.
Jodi, Sharon and Marci would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Rhea's wonderful caregivers at the Guilford House who provided a beautiful home for the past six years.
Due to COVID concerns, Rhea's funeral will be private and under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven CT. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the American Stroke Association at www.stroke.org.

Sending my deepest sympathy to Rhea´s family. I will never forget her kind heart , love of her family and her sassiness! Even in the worst of times , she persevered and never gave up. She was a constant part of all our days at Guilford House and I am very grateful to have known her and shared so many special times with her.
Thinking of all of you

I'm so sorry Marci, Jodi, Sharon and grandchildren. It's quite apparent that Rhea's light shined bright. I hope you all find peace and comfort in the days to come.

My heart is completely broken. Rhea was my first patient when I started working at Guilford House back in 2019. The instant love i had for her was endless, I will forever remember her smile & bright spirit. She is in my heart forever. My prayers are with all the family at this time.
