Rheda Bloom

Rheda Bloom, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2025, at the age of 88. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and later moved to Miami, where she met and married her husband, Leonard Bloom. Married in 1963, they shared more than six decades together, building a life centered on family, partnership, and mutual devotion.

Rheda is survived by her loving husband, Leonard Bloom; her children, Marlene (Randy) Rubin, Robin (Rick) Hendershot, and Aaron (Diana) Bloom; and her six cherished grandchildren, Lauren, Taylor, Emily, Eliana, Gil, and Aiden. Her family was the greatest joy of her life. She took immense pride in her children and grandchildren, followed their lives closely, celebrated their milestones, and found her happiest moments gathered with them, often around her dining room table.

Service to others was a defining part of Rheda's life. In retirement, she devoted countless hours to her community. She established and ran her synagogue's senior program, was active in the Sisterhood, served as a youth group advisor, and helped run the TJFS food bank. She also volunteered with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office as part of the Citizens Patrol. In addition, Rheda worked hard behind the scenes to help support and run the family business, always willing to step in and do what was needed.

Rheda appreciated life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed sitting by the pool in the sun, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and had a well-known fondness for Hershey's chocolate, which never failed to bring a smile.

Rheda will be remembered for her deep love of family, her long and devoted marriage, her strong work ethic, and her lifelong commitment to helping others. Her legacy lives on through her husband, children, grandchildren, and the many lives she touched.
