Rhelda Gleim

Rhelda Gleim, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, in Burlington, North Carolina. Born on December 1, 1932, in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, she graced this world with her presence for 92 fulfilling years.
Throughout her life, Rhelda dedicated herself to the care and nurturing of her family as a devoted homeworker. Her steadfast commitment and unwavering love were the cornerstones of her family's foundation.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her son, Gary Gleim, and his wife, Mary Ann; her daughter, Cindy K. Meador; four grandchildren who adored her; five great-grandchildren who brought her joy; and three great-great-grandchildren who were her pride. She is also survived by her brother, Blaine Shatto, and his wife, Pat, who will deeply miss her presence.
Rhelda was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Harold J. Gleim; her beloved daughter, Beverly Gleim; her parents, Blanche and Lester Shatto; and her dear sister, Ardella Mathna, and brother-in-law, Floyd.
The family will hold services at a later date to honor and celebrate Rhelda's life. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return. May she rest in peace, her spirit carried forward by the family she so dearly treasured.
