Rhoda Weisz, 105, of State College, passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Foxdale Village.
Born January 3, 1920, in York, she was the daughter of the late Walter Rutter and Coreda Rebecca Stine Burg. In 1943 she married Paul B. Weisz, who preceded her in death on September 25, 2012.
She is survived by two children, Randy Weisz and his wife Cheryl of Freeland, WA, and Ingrid Weisz of Dexter, MI as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
Rhoda worked as a registered nurse. She had a green thumb & was wonderful at nurturing flowers. She always had numerous Christmas cacti in her home. She loved to travel, having been to most countries in Europe, China, Australia, and the Bahamas where they built a house in 1964. She & Paul spent 6 weeks in Saas Fee, Switzerland in the summers and in the house on Eleuthera in the Bahamas in the winter. In her later years, she enjoyed sitting in the sun so much. She will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions/donations may be directed to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) at https://www.aclu.org
Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College.

Rhoda was a lovely woman I had the pleasure of knowing in her later years. She was full of spirit, knowledge and wit. Blessings to her family.
