Rhonda Sue Black Anderson, age 50, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025, after a courageous fight with cancer. Born on October 25, 1975, in Gainesville, Georgia, Rhonda was the youngest of three children and a proud graduate of White County High School, the University of Georgia, and Georgia State University.

Rhonda was a woman of extraordinary faith. Her walk as a Christian was the foundation of her strength, her compassion, and her courage—especially throughout her battle with cancer. She lived her faith openly, with grace, gratitude, and a heart full of trust in God’s promises.

Professionally, Rhonda built a distinguished career in the real estate industry. She earned a BBA in Real Estate from the University of Georgia and was a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority, and earned a Master of Science in Real Estate from Georgia State University. She served as Vice President at CB Richard Ellis and Managing Director of Grubb & Ellis Vanaver for both the Atlanta and Savannah markets. She was a member of the Board of Directors at Apex Banking Company of Georgia and became a State Certified Real Estate Appraiser in six states. She also brought her entrepreneurial spirit to life through the founding of R&R Gardening and AAA Works Development.

Despite all her accomplishments, Rhonda’s deepest devotion was to her family—especially her beloved daughter, Ruby Sue. Their bond was one of extraordinary closeness: painting, gardening, playing sports, traveling, sharing laughter, and creating daily moments of joy. Rhonda’s greatest joy was being Ruby’s mom, and her love for her daughter was both boundless and unmistakable.

Rhonda treasured her husband, Aaron Anderson, with whom she shared 21 years of marriage after being wed at Brasstown Valley Resort in 2004. She was also a proud and loving aunt, always wanting to be the fun one—the aunt who showed up, cheered the loudest, and made memories that will last a lifetime.

She is survived by her father Ray Black (Ruth), her sister Tina Palmer (Barry) and her brother Eddie Black (Sonja), sisters Kina Hester (Scott), and Kimberly Rankl (Albert); her sisters-in-law Doris McNelley and Sharon Conoley (Chris), and many nieces and nephews.

She was a self-described “daddy’s girl” and loved spending time with her father—especially sharing watermelon, a simple joy they treasured together.

Rhonda had a remarkable gift for friendship and maintained a vast circle of friends who adored her. She was known for her unforgettable laugh, her humor, her loyalty, and her rare ability to make everyone feel valued. Her favorite Saturdays were spent tailgating and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, surrounded by family, friends, good food, and the excitement she loved so much.

Her colorful personality shone through in all aspects of her life. She was creative, athletic, and adventurous—a talented painter, a gardener, a photographer, and an enthusiastic player of tennis, pickleball, or any game someone was willing to play. She loved hunting and fishing, traveling the world, and visiting her favorite places: Crested Butte, Hiawassee, Chobe National Park in Botswana, her family farms, and any spa she could find.

Her favorite colors were red and purple; her favorite flowers, daisies and sunflowers; and her favorite food—always—was watermelon.

Rhonda’s legacy is one of love, laughter, faith, courage, and devotion. She leaves behind her husband, Aaron; her cherished daughter, Ruby; her loving family; her adored nieces and nephews; and the countless friends who were blessed to be part of her life.

Her memory will forever shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
