Ricardo Castillo, age 84, a resident of Columbia, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Marine Corps. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Born on June 2, 1941, in Robstown, TX, Ricardo was the son of the late Manuel Castillo and the late Rafaela Munguia Castillo. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. Prior to her passing, Ricardo was married to Joyce Castillo for fifty-three years. He was a hard-working individual who loved his family. Ricardo enjoyed traveling with his wife, bowling, going to the movies, and was an avid sports fan, especially the Detroit Tigers and Lions. He worked for General Motors until he retired. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons, Robert (Jen) Castillo, Richard Castillo, William Castillo, daughter, Angie Castillo, brother, Manuel Castillo, grandchildren, John Sharp and Isabella Castillo.

In addition to his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Castillo, sister, Elvia Castillo.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
