Ricardo Martinez Jr, born January 8, 1948 in Rio Grande City, Texas to parents Roberto Martinez and Irene Imelda Perez, entered into eternal rest October 22, 2025 at the age of 77. Roberto was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Martinez; mother, Imelda Perez Martinez; spouses, Kathy Martinez and Yolanda Gonzalez. He is survived by his sons, Roberto I. Martinez, Juan Roberto Martinez, Jacob Martinez; daughters, Marlene M. Ayala, Adriana Martinez; sister, Angelina Teran; grandchildren, Bob, Andres, Victoria, Natalie, Ryan, Angel; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Bently, Jayden and Lilith. Roberto was an Army Veteran who served in Nuremberg, Germany during the Vietnam era. He was married for 36 years and work 60 plus years in support of his family. Roberto finally retired from the Army Reserves and Civil Service to do the one thing he enoyed the most, spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was always happy being a jokester. Among the things he enjoyed were watching his Dallas Cowboys, sports cars and hanging out at Mirasoles Ranch with his boys and barbequing.

Funeral Services are as follows:

Saturday - November 8, 2025: Memorial Service with ashes present from 11:00am - 2:00pm, with a rosary being recited 12:30pm.

ALL FUNERAL SERVICES WILL CONCLUDE SATURDAY AT 2:00PM WITH BURIAL OF ASHES IN RIO GRANDE CITY, TEXAS ON A DATE TO BE DETERMINED LATER.
