Ricardo Reginaldo Nolasco October 21, 1928 - October 12, 2024 Ricardos parents Viviano Nolasco and Carlotta Lucero moved to San Pedro Ca. with 6 Children. Lional (Leo), Ricardo, Orlando, Pearl, Beatice, and Geraldine. Ricardo graduated from San Pedro High School in 1945 and entered the Navy. He served in Guam and was honorably discharged in 1948. He married and had 3 children. Maria, Kathy, and Ricardo JR. His second marriage he had more children, Michael, and a daughter Cath Stewart whom they adopted. There are many grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. Ricardo moved to Tehachapi, owned a grocery store, then moved down to Orange County. There he opened a hardware store and became a painter. He then moved to San Pedro and became a paint contractor. He then moved to Lone Pine where he was able to enter his daughter into a special education facility. He went back to San Pedro for a short time and then decided Tehachapi was where he wanted to be. So, in 2008 he moved here to Tehachapi to stay. Here in Tehachapi Ricardo owned a Mexican Restaurant on Tehachapi Blvd. He got a paint contractors license and worked at that. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in 1980 and served all offices. He was very proud when he was awarded his fellowship. He retired from painting in 2009. He continued to serve the moose until they closed in 2014. He was very involved in the Mtn Festival through the Moose Lodge, one year selling the most tickets. He served the Tehachapi Search & Rescue as well. Ricardo was well known in Tehachapi for many years. He loved living here and serving his community. Ricardo is preceded in death by: His parents, Viviano and Carlotta Nolasco, his twin brother who passed at birth. Siblings: Lional, Orlando, & Pearl. His son: Ricardo Jr. Ricardo is survived by his wife of 14 years: Virginia Barkulis, his siblings: Beatrice Hernandez, and Geraldine Ruiz. His children: Maria Biernat, Kathy Sanchez, Cath Stewart, and son Michael. As well as many family members and friends. Ricardo Reginaldo Nolasco will be laid to rest at Bakersfield National Cemetery November 12, 2024 @ 2:00 pm. Procession will form at Wood Family Funeral Service Wood Family Funeral Service oversees arrangements.
