With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life and memory of Ricardo John Payne, son of the late Anna "Missy" Payne and John Harris, who passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 63.
Ricardo was a graduate of Technical Memorial High School. Upon graduation, he gained employment at Gannon University and later with Law Funeral Home in Erie, Pennsylvania. Eventually, Ricardo moved to
Covington, Kentucky, where he lived and enjoyed his adult life. Ricardo was employed with The Point Health Care Services. During his employment, Ricardo, affectionately known as "Ricky", was always available with a smile and a great passion for doing his job and caring for his clients. Ricky loved working at the Point; he will be greatly missed.
Born August 2, 1962, Ricky lived a life full of laughter, love, and purpose. He was always known for his generous heart, easygoing nature, and spirit. He could always make anyone he met feel like family.
Ricky could light up the room with his jubilant and infectious personality. His smile was uncanny, and his love of people was known by all who knew him.
Ricky was deeply devoted to his family and friends. They will remember his strength, wisdom, and his unwavering loyalty. These qualities, including his hard work, words of encouragement, and simple acts of kindness, will be cherished and never fade from our memories.
Ricky's spirit will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The lessons he taught us and the lessons we learned. His time on this earth was far too short. Your spirit will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Ricky was a beloved son, dad, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend.
Ricky is survived by his family, including his son Ricardo Powell; four grandchildren, Tyrese Antwon Wofford, Leona Lakethia Powell, Marquise Antwon Powell, and Jaylin Sharese Powell; two brothers, Rodney Payne (Atlanta, Georgia) and Robbie Payne (Seattle, Washington); a special niece, Evarie Magee, and several other nieces and nephews. He dearly loved his favorite cousin, Nancy Kornegay, and her beloved children and her grandchildren, as well as many cousins and friends who will cherish his memory.
