Richard Stephens of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born November 1, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri to Ralph and Mildred (nee Peek) Stephens and entered into rest Sunday, June 22, 2025 in Cedar Hill, Missouri at the age of 59 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mildred (nee Peek) Stephens, and his niece, Stacie Stephens.
He is survived by his sisters, Stephanie Stephens and Deanna Griffey; nieces and nephews, Tyler Griffey, Brenna (nee Griffey) Donovan, Taryn Griffey, and Trey Griffey; along with numerous other extended family and friends.
Rich was a dog lover and NFL player with the Los Angeles Raiders. He previously played as an Offensive Lineman for the Sacramento Surge, champions in the World League of American Football and was once named one of the league's top 10 prospects. Rich was dearly loved within the Raiders Organization as his personality was a blessing to the morale and wellness of many.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

I am going to miss Rich so much. I remember when he was working out in the gym with all of us and he was just in high school getting ready for college. Rich was such a great friend, and would do anything for you. He was a big man with a big heart. Love you my friend.

Rich was a good friend and Teammate. My son loved Rich, he would go to his apartment and they would eat Mac and Cheese together. Made my son feel special. We will miss Big Shake!
