**Obituary for Richard Allman "Richey"**
Richard Allman "Richey," age 73, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Known for his hardworking spirit and generous heart, Richey was a devoted father, friend, and mentor who touched the lives of many. He delighted in simple pleasures-gathering around the fire with loved ones, sharing laughter and stories over a few beers, and spending quality time with family. Richey had a special place in his heart for NASCAR races and Alabama football, passions he enjoyed to the fullest.
Richey was a remarkably kind and giving man. He helped raise many children, showing care and guidance to those who weren't his by birth but became family through love and commitment. His legacy of warmth and generosity will be cherished by everyone fortunate enough to know him.
He is preceded in death by his wife Debbie Allman, His Parents Bill Allman and Maxie Gass. Grandparents Ollie and Rosa Bell, Grandparents Zack and Georgia Allman, Grandson Coty Harris, and Niece Brandy Hammons.
Richey leaves behind a large and loving family: his sons Richard (Donna) Allman, Jason Allman, Ryan (Cassandra) Parton, and Art (Louisa) Wiggins; his daughter Carrie (Darryl) Harris; siblings Tommy (Nikki) Gass and Cherry Gardner; grandchildren Hunter Sayre, Chelby Harris, Ashley (Chris) Johnson, Alexis Allman, Aviana Allman, Addlyn Allman, Jacob (Mali) Williams, Jaden Allman, Ellie Allman, Clay Allman, Emily Siler, Charolett Howell, Elizabeth Parton, Art Wiggins, Arwen Wiggins, and Kale Wiggins; and great-grandchildren Allaylia, Caelynn Johnson, Cashton Johnson, Amelia Johnson, and Ace Johnson. Richey also leaves behind his lifelong friend, Larry "Dillard" Williams, who shared countless memories and adventures over the years.
A graveside service will be held at Fuller Cemetery on Highway 117 in Ider, Alabama, on November 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM Central Time. Following the service, friends and family are invited to celebrate Richey's life at a wake at 2349 County Road 651 in Ider, Alabama.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, Chattanooga Chapel, for their compassionate care. Richey's life was a testament to kindness, resilience, and the value of family, and he will be dearly missed by all.
