Richard Ashbridge Obituary

Richard W. Ashbridge was born on December 7, 1925 in East
Palestine, Ohio. He passed away on April 28, 2024 at age 98. He was
preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years Martha D. Ashbridge nee
McCamon. Richard is survived by his sons Douglas and wife Sharon
Ashbridge, Drew and wife Kaylene Ashbridge, and his daughter Diane and
husband Charles E Goebel. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and
13 great grandchildren. Richard was a beloved Husband, Father, and
PopPop.
After graduation from East Palestine High School, he attended the U.S.
Naval Midshipmens school in Fort Schuyler, New York. He graduated
from the Navy V-12 program at Baldwin-Wallace College in 1944. Richard
served as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy on the battleship Idaho during
World War II. After the war, Richard served in the U.S. Naval Reserve until
1961. He was a State Agent and office manager for Royal Globe
Insurance Group for most of his career.
Richards fondest memories were of spending time with his wife,
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of Life
Service will be held on May 24th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church, 6474 Beechmont Avenue, Cincinnati Ohio 45230.
