Wendy Ashbridge Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holloway Funeral Home - Pocomoke City on Jul. 7, 2023.
Wendy Ashbridge, age 58, passed away at home in Laurel, DE on July 3, 2023. She was born on March 1, 1965 at Crozer Hospital in Chester, PA to Cliff Jr. and Laraine Ashbridge.
She went to Claymont School from kindergarten through 11th grade. She was in Claymont band for three years and during that time she was head majorette. The family moved to Maryland in her senior year of high school so she graduated from Rockville, MD.
She started working as a rental agent for apartment complexes, then moved to the car business. She worked her way up from title clerk to Senior Accountant at IG Burton in Milford, DE. She spent 30 years in the car business working for various dealerships. She found a second family at IG Burton. She also rescued cats for 20 years. Wherever she was she couldn't let a furry friend go hungry.
Survivors include her mother, Laraine Ashbridge of Laurel, DE, brother Seth, his wife Jessica, and their two children, a niece Kaylah and nephew Jeremy, Ashbridge of Canton, GA, father Cliff Ashbridge Jr of Gainsville, GA. A very special friend whom she referred to as the daughter of her heart, Jacqueline Riley, her husband Justin, and their daughter Morgan, whom Wendy always called her precious granddaughter, of Newark, MD.
Wendy was preceded in death by her younger brother Abel in 2017. She missed him terribly.
Services will be held Saturday July 15, 2023 at Mission Community Church, 30186 Seaford Rd Laurel, DE 19956 at 6 pm with a fellowship time to follow. All friends are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Memorial contributions in Wendy's memory can be made to Delaware Hospice 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or through their website delawarehospice.org/donate/. Wendy made this request as hospice was an invaluable resource during her time of need.

I didn´t know you very well, only as kids. You had a sweet disposition. You will be at peace now and without pain. All my love to your family.
