Richard Hilmer Bauer, Jr, better known as "Little Richard," "Dad," "L'il Papa," and "Honey Bauer" went home to be with the Lord after passing peacefully at home on September 7, 2025. He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents Hilmer and Thelma Bauer, his Maternal Grandparents John and Elenora Swift, his brother Daniel Brian Bauer, along with several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Richard Hilmer Bauer, Jr. (56) was born in Floresville, TX on February 8, 1969 to Richard and June Bauer, Sr. Richard was an avid sportsman who loved nature, hunting, and tending to his land. A welder by trade, his work ethic was like none other. He worked hard and played harder and was a dedicated provider, husband, father, son, grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Richard rarely met a stranger and those who knew and loved him appreciated his sense of humor, integrity, warm heart, intensity, quick wit, and hearty laugh.

He is survived and will be missed dearly by his loving parents, Richard and June Bauer, beloved wife Frances Bauer (McClintock), strong sons John Brian Bauer and William Henry Bauer, beautiful daughters Stephanie June Rodriguez (Zachary) and Siobahn Rae McClintock; and playful grandchildren Weston Hilmer Bauer-Friske, Jacelyn May Bauer-Friske, Bowen Daniel Bauer, and Bryan Richard Bauer.

Services will be at Vineyard Funeral Home, 1011 4th St, Floresville, TX 78114 as follows: Viewing on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 am on Friday, September 12, 2025 with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, 1644 FM 2505, Floresville, TX 78114.
