Richard Bauer

Richard Bauer, 95, passed away peacefully on January 30th surrounded by his family and friends, leaving behind a legacy defined by devotion, hard work, and unwavering love for his family. Born on August 18th, 1930, in Manhattan, Richard spent his early years in the city he cherished, remaining there until 1965.

In 1965, Richard married the love of his life, Dianne Gademan. Shortly after, the newlyweds moved to Jackson Heights to begin their life together. In 1969, they settled in Mount Kisco, where they expanded their family and built a warm, loving home.

Richard built a long and steady career as a stationary engineer, first with 20th Century Fox and later with City College of New York, where he dedicated 24 years of service before retiring. After retirement, he and Dianne moved to South Carolina to begin a new chapter of their lives.

Known as a hardworking man, a loyal provider, and a deeply caring father, Richard's strength and commitment shaped the lives of those he loved. He was also a lifelong New York Yankees fan, cheering for his team with the same steadfast spirit he brought to everything he did.

Richard was predeceased by his parents Ludmilla and Frank, his brother Frank, and his son, Richard. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Dianne Bauer; his sons Frank and Scott Bauer(Martin); and his three granddaughters, Emily Bauer, Catherine Hegarty (Matthew), and Alaina Weisberg who will forever carry his memory forward.
