Richard J. "Dick" Beauchamp, 84, of Gladstone, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025 at the Bishop Noa Home.
Dick was born on May 8, 1941 in Escanaba, son to Wilfred and Mary Elizabeth (Depuydt) Beauchamp. He was raised in the St. Nicholas and Hyde area as a young boy/teenager and attended Perkins, Pine Ridge, and Escanaba schools.
Dick spent his early life working on the family farm in St. Nicholas and their gas station in Hyde. He began his career as a business owner/operator with Dick's Equipment and went on to create Best Equipment and Trailer Sales/Best Sweep, where he continued logging, and buying/selling heavy equipment until he retired.
On September 8, 1962, Richard married the former Mary Ann Giroux at St. Anne's Church in Escanaba. After his marriage, he and Mary Ann lived in Milwaukee for a short time before moving back to the Escanaba area. They had three children, James, Scott, and Pamela, and were able to spend 49 years together before her passing in 2011.
A natural outdoorsman, Dick loved hunting, logging with his heavy equipment, and driving the back roads in the country. Dick enjoyed going to auction sales to find the best deals on the lot. He was a fan of the Minnesota Vikings and enjoyed cheering on his family at the race tracks. Above all, Dick cherished time with his family.
Among survivors include his children, James (Linda) Beauchamp of Escanaba, Scott (Tammy) Beauchamp and Pamela (Jon) Cloutier, both of Gladstone; grandchildren, James Jr., John and Bryn Beauchamp, Braden, Luke and Brooklyn Beauchamp, and Hailee and Jaycee Cloutier; six great-grandchildren, Joshua, Mia, Emma, Noah, Mary Ann, and Regan Beauchamp; siblings, Dennis (Sandy), Duane (Sandy), and Terry (Karen) Beauchamp, Marilyn Matthys, Joyce (Keith Gluesing) VanDrese, and Sharon (Doug) Sharkey; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Beauchamp; and brothers, Robert, Norbert, and Donald Beauchamp.
Visitation will take place on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Crawford Funeral Homes, 302 S 13th St. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 4:00 p.m. at St. Anne's Church with Rev. Fran DeGroot officiating. A luncheon will follow in the church hall.
Burial will take place in Gardens of Rest Cemetery on November 25th at 11:00 am.
