BEUKE
Richard Henry "Dick", loving and devoted partner of 25 years to Yvonne Elias Hodge, cherished brother of Dale (Jean) Beuke, and dear uncle of Jennifer (Vince) Mariucci. He will be deeply missed by his stepchildren, Cindy Kravits, Bryon Hodge, Gary Hodge, Randy (Dawn) Barker, Penny Collins, and his adoring grandchildren, Ari, Solomon, Elise, Mimi, and Chana Kravits, Richie (Nicole) Barker, Terry, Rumore, and Tyler Vanderveer and his loving daughter-in-law Peggy.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Donnie Beuke, brother-in-law, David Elias, stepson, Ron Barker and first wife, Jean (nee Heflin) Beuke.
Dick was born on November 7, 1940, to Richard and Evelyn (nee Oswald) Beuke in Cincinnati.
He was raised in the Catholic faith, receiving his religious and secular education from Purcell High School, and remained devout his entire life, praying faithfully every day.
Dick was proud of his career as a firefighter and retired as Chief of the Miami Township East Fire Department in Claremont County.
In his spare time and retirement, Dick enjoyed feeding the birds in his backyard, watching the Hallmark Channel and The Lawrence Welk Show, and adding to his prized train collection.
Dick valiantly fought many health battles, but on September 8th he passed away peacefully, with Yvonne holding his hand. He was 82.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14th from 10AM until the time of Catholic Blessing, 11AM, at Thomas-Justin Memorial, 7500 Montgomery Rd. (45236) Kenwood. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
