Doyle, Richard E. “Big Rick” of Quincy, died August 28, 2025.
Rick, or “Big Rick” as he was known, loved his family. He was an avid Boston sports fan and a jack of all trades. He worked as a roofer for over 30 years, but always helped his friends with side jobs when needed. He was generous with his time and would give you the shirt off of his back. Rick had a great sense of humor and was a friend to all. He will be missed by everyone that knew him.
Beloved husband of Barbara Doyle of Quincy. Cherished father of Ricky Doyle of Quincy and step father of Eddie Chaisson and his wife Kate of York, ME and Bobby Chaisson of Virginia Beach, VA. Loving brother of Tim Doyle of Quincy, Jim Doyle and his wife Marilyn of Plymouth, Bob Doyle and his wife Jennifer of Royersford, PA, Suzanne Doyle of Quincy, and the late Patty Saldi and her surviving husband Frank. Devoted grandfather of Marchello, Nathan, Bradley, Sadie, Eddie Jr., and Davie Chaisson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 9/4/2025 from 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral home service will be celebrated on Friday 9/5/2025 at 11 AM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Rick may be made to The Jimmy Fund c/o Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168 or to Grow Associates, 68 Mazzeo Drive, Randolph, MA 02368.
