Richard Michael Blake passed away on November 6th, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him most.
Rich lived a full and joyful life—one defined by laughter, loyalty, and a knack for turning even the simplest moments into stories worth retelling. A longtime resident of West Chester, he built a successful career as a sales manager and Realtor, proudly selling new construction for Toll Brothers and Pulte Homes. He loved connecting with people and took pride in helping families find homes where their own stories would begin.
Rich was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan—never one to miss a game—and an avid golfer who found peace and joy on the course. He loved a good argument almost as much as he loved a good laugh, and he could turn a friendly debate into an art form.
For more than forty years, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina was his happy place. It’s where he spent countless vacations with his family and closest friends, including Joe and Maureen Vitulli, and where he shared endless rounds of golf, laughter, and sunsets with “The Strawbridge Club.”
Rich is survived by his loving wife, Patti (Gricco) Blake; his daughter, Kimberly (Blake) Gallagher and her husband, Sean Gallagher; and his granddaughters, Grace and Bridget, who were the absolute joy of his life. He also left behind countless nieces and nephews who he adored. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie (O’Donnell) and Joseph Blake Sr., and his brothers, Joseph and Paul Blake.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rich’s life on Friday, November 14, 2025 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000. Visitation will be 9:30-11:30 AM, with a service to follow at 11:30 AM.
Rich will be remembered for his humor, his heart, and the way he made everyone feel like an old friend. His presence filled every room, and his stories—and laughter—will live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know him.
