Richard "Dick" Lee Brandt, 79, of Wiley Ford, WV passed away peacefully with his son and daughter by his side, on March 01, 2026 at Kadima North Strabane Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Canonsburg, PA. Born on November 10, 1946 in Wiley Ford, WV to the late Kenneth F. and Edith V. (Ashenfelter) Brandt. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Bob Brandt, Butch Brandt, Moe Brandt and his wife, Barb, and Donna Henderson; and nephews Scott Brandt and Peewee Aldridge.

Dick graduated from Ridgeley High School in 1965 and served in the Army from 1966 until 1972. He was a self-employed concrete finisher for all of his adult life. Dick loved working on classic cars and feeding deer, birds and squirrels. He loved to joke around but would give the shirt off his back, if you were in need. His great love was spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Dick is survived by his loving children, Krista J. Stritzinger and her husband, Dan, Michael L. Brandt and his wife, April; adoring grandchildren, Ashley Rogers and Brayden Brandt; dear sister, Darlene Aldridge and her husband, Jim; sister in law, Deanna Brandt; he is also survived by nieces, Rhonda, Roxanne, Robyn and Crystal; nephews, Buck, Louie, and Sam as well as their children; and good friends, Allen and Phil.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 05, 2026 at Scarpelli Funeral Home P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, MD 21502 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 in Fort Ashby Cemetery, where military honors will be accorded by Fort Cumberland Post 13 Honor guard.
