Barbara McFadyen

There is an intimacy between siblings imbedded in the core of your identity and soul, at least that's how I felt about my big brother Rick. He was so well loved, friends and schoolmates from as far back as 1950's Riverdale Elementary School, Hyattsville Junior High and Northwestern High School have reached out to extend condolences, fond memories and love. I wish I could post all the pix from childhood on, and all the poetry and songs... Here are a few pictures, left to right: 1. Cocker spaniel Jigger, Rick and me (Barbara) 2. circa 1954 father Albert, mother Ann, me and Rick, 3. me and Rick at 2015 family reunion at cousin Larry's, 4. me and Rick at Braunstein family reunion in 2019, 5. Rick and me at Michael Braunstein's wedding in Chicago, 2022.

Sending comforting thoughts to Rick's family & friends. I worked with him at WNIC & remember our many talks about music. He was smart, funny and kind. The world was a better place because of him.
