Richard Albert Brose, known lovingly as Richie to his friends and family, peacefully passed away on June 6, 2024, in Arvada, Colorado. He was born on September 28, 1931, in Port Chester, New York, and spent his early years in Harrison, NY.Richie's life was defined by his dedication and service to his country. He bravely served in the Army, volunteering on August 31, 1950, and belonging to Company E, 9th Infantry Regiment during the Korean War. Despite being combat-wounded on March 8, 1951, Richie's unwavering spirit shone through as he received accolades, including the Korean Service Ribbon and the Purple Heart.On October 10, 1954, Richie married the love of his life, Frances Mordini, shortly after returning home from the Korean War. A committed professional, Richie worked as an insurance agent with New York Life Insurance for 25 years, where his expertise and dedication earned him a place in the esteemed Million Dollar Round Table, a pinnacle achievement within the global life insurance industry.After retiring in 1988, Richie and Frances embarked on a new chapter, fulfilling Richie's lifelong dream of attending the San Diego Golf Academy. He earned his PGA card and devoted his skills to becoming a fitter for Henry Griffitts. From Hemet Golf Club to Seven Hills Golf Club and back to Fort Collins, Richie embraced his passion for golf, spending joyful Saturday mornings at Collindale Golf Course with the Mens club.In his 92 years of life, Richie created a legacy of love and dedication to family. He is survived by his beloved wife of almost 70 years, Frances, and their children: Richard Brose of Dothan, Alabama, Stephanie Pedigo and husband Tim of Key West, Florida, Leslie Howard and husband Charles of Conifer, CO, and Nikki Evans and husband Darrin of Woodward, Oklahoma.Richie will always be remembered by his grandchildren, Jacob Joe Campbell of Conifer, CO, Caleb Campbell (Kara) of Nashville, Tennessee, Jeremy Campbell of Oklahoma City, Dominick Howard (Kalin) of Thornton, CO and Garrett Howard (Amanda) of Thornton as well as his great-grandchildren Slade Campbell and Timber Campbell of Marietta, Oklahoma, Sophie Campbell of Nashville, Tennessee and sister Rosemary Yanson of Schoharie, NY.A man of deep faith, Richie cherished listening to Pastor Jimmy Swaggart and was a lifelong member of the VFW. He wholeheartedly supported The Heritage Foundation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heritage Foundation at heritage.org.Richard Albert Brose will be laid to rest with military honors at Fort Logan National Cemetery on June 26, 2024, at 10:30 AM. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
