Richard James Bundy Jr., began his journey July 28, 1951 in Biscoe, Arkansas to the late Richard James Bundy, Sr. and Helen Sproling. Richard was the youngest child of his siblings. He was affectionately called "Buck" by everyone. The family left Biscoe and moved to Chicago, Illinois when Richard was seven years old. He attended Franklin elementary school and Waller High School.

Richard confessed to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mount Herman Baptist Church. He sang in the junior choir then went on to sing in the ensemble choir. Later, he became a Deacon in the church. Richard James Bundy, Jr., married and was graced with two children, Richard II and Ashley.

Richard, as a young man, worked at Jerry's grocery store, SAAB, and from there, United Airlines as a Crew Chief until his retirement in 2013. While at United Airlines, Richard met the love of his life, his soul mate, Sonseeahray Black, whom he married on November 4, 2017.

Richard loved spending time with his wife, attending worship services, riding on his Harley Davidson motorcycle, traveling, Gospel music (Peace Be Still and God's Grace, which were his favorite songs), talking with his friends and family, and entertaining anytime and for any occasion. Richard also enjoyed playing cards (Parking lot, spades, Phase 10, bid whist, dominoes (bones), chess, and occasional trips to the casinos. Richard enjoyed being a sous chef at home helping his wife cook meals. He was a real lover of food.

Richard leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory: his wife Sonseeahray; his children: Richard II (Ricky) & Ashley; his stepchildren: Phillip, Antionette, and Shaneen & husband Thaddeus; his siblings: Mary, Bernard & wife Val, Stella, and Margaret; his grandchildren: Donovan (Jah), R.J., and Riley; his step-grandchildren: Andrew, Aliyah, Crishon, Bryana, and Azavier (AZ); and great grandchildren, hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
