Richard Calma Obituary
Rich retired from the Clinton County Advocacy and Resource Center. He was active with the Civil Air Patrol for many years. Rich volunteered at the Plattsburgh Air Force Base Museum. He enjoyed collecting military memorabilia and he loved his dogs and cats.
Rich was predeceased by his parents and brother, Dennis.
He is survived by his domestic partner of thirty six years Deborah L. Loftus Johnson, a sister Lisa (Michael) Meinardus, his brothers Michael (Angela) Calma, Carl "Chris" (Ellen) Calma and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, October 14, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Plattsburgh Air Force Base Museum or the Elmore SPCA.

Sad to just learn of rich passing. Rich and I worked together a few years back as fellow job coaches at Workforce Network with ARC. I considered and still consider him one of my best friends in my adult life. What a quality guy. He surely will be missed. Tim Pulsifer

Tp me he was always "Rick". We met in the mid 70's when I joined the Civil Air Patrol in Long Island, New York. Rick was a dynamic senior member who mentored many a cadet and motivated us to always do our best. After I left Long Island for what would be a 20 year military career, Rick always found a way to keep in touch with me. I will miss his calls and regret we never had that get together. Rest in the arms of Jesus old friend, until we meet again.
