Leona Mae Woodbridge, 92, of Plattsburgh, NY went home to be with her Lord and Savior on December 2, 2025.
She was born in Canton, NY on August 31, 1933, the daughter of William Ralph and Ethel Pearson Woodbridge.
She loved helping and serving people. She started working in her 20’s at The Samuel F. Vilas Home. She worked there for 38 years, until her retirement in 1998.
She then volunteered for many years in various Hospitals and Nursing Homes in the area. Leona found joy in giving of herself to help others. She enjoyed crocheting,
puzzles, reading, church, spending time with her best friend Barbara, and cooking. She was a sweet soul and loving person.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Walter Ralph Woodbridge and her sister Inez. She is survived by her best friend Barbara Burdo, and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life and memorial service will be held at a later date at the Plattsburgh Church of the Nazarene.
Arrangements are entrusted to Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Plattsburgh Church of the Nazarene will be welcome in Leona’s name.
