**Obituary for Richard C. Casson**
Richard C. Casson passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 95. He was born on July 26, 1929, in Paterson, New Jersey, to Everette Henry Casson and Irene Bossley Casson.
Throughout his lifetime, Richard followed his passion for dance, becoming a well-respected dance instructor. He dedicated his career to sharing his love of dance with others, owning and operating his own dance studio where he mentored countless students over the years.
In addition to his professional work, Richard cherished his family deeply. He is remembered with love by his son, Paul R. Casson, Sr., of New York; his daughter, Janet L. Smith, of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Everette and Irene Casson, as well as one brother and one sister.
He had been a resident of Wilmington, North Carolina, for the last 14 years of his life, having previously lived in Stamford, Connecticut.
Per Richard's request, there will be no local services held in his honor. His family respects his wishes and cherishes the many memories shared with him throughout his long and fulfilled life.
