Rudolph Arone, Jr., a cherished husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, in Leland, North Carolina, at the age of 74. Born on June 22, 1951, in Brooklyn, New York, Rudy lived a fulfilling life filled with love, dedication, and joy.
Throughout his career as a Steam Fitter, Rudy was known for his dedication to his work and his unwavering work ethic. He brought warmth and camaraderie to every environment he touched, building lifelong friendships along the way. Outside of work,
Rudy found joy on the golf course, where he could often be found perfecting his swing amid laughter and lighthearted competition. He also had a playful spirit and enjoyed testing his luck by playing the lottery.
Rudy's family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Charlene Arone, who shared his journey with unwavering love and support. Together, they cultivated a close-knit family, raising their daughter Melissa Arone and two sons, Michael Arone with his wife Melissa, and Steven Arone. Rudy's legacy extends through his two cherished grandchildren, Katelyn Arone and Christopher Arone, who brought immense joy to his life.
He is also survived by his two sisters, Maria Bisculca and her husband Joseph of Islip, NY, and Jo Ann Britton of East Islip, NY, whose sibling bonds he treasured throughout his life. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents, Rudy Arone, Sr., and Grace D'Amico Arone, whose memories he always held dear to his heart.
A celebration of Rudy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the Wilmington Funeral and Cremation Chapel located at 1535 South 41st Street, Wilmington, NC.
