Richard "Rick" Chambers

1958 - 2025

Richard "Rick" Chambers, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, at the age of 66 at his home in Yucca Valley, surrounded by those he loved. His absence will forever leave a hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him.
Born in Glendale, Rick was raised by his mother, Betty, and his father, Charles, alongside his siblings.
After high school, Rick joined the Marine Corps and served honorably, achieving the rank of gunnery sergeant. While he held many roles after leaving the Marines, he was most proud to be called husband and father.
His love and devotion to his high school sweetheart and wife, Melodie, could be felt by everyone around them.
His children, Richard, and Heather, have relied on his steadfast support as they navigated school, careers, and built families of their own.
An imposing figure with a big heart, Rick was loved by all who knew him. His family and friends will always remember his infectious laughter, mischievous grin and willingness to help those he cared for.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Betty, and Charles, and his siblings, Gerri, and Jim. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Melodie; his son, Richard (Courtney); his daughter, Heather (Sara); and his grandsons, Levi and Brayden. He also leaves behind his "grand-fur babies" Ash, Toby and Cooper, as well as his sister, Nancy Steele.
His family asks that you remember him with a cold Coors Light, a strong Tanqueray and tonic or a decent round of golf.
