Richard Chianese Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rundus Funeral Home & Crematory on Oct. 25, 2025.
Richard Curtis Chianese, beloved father and musician, passed away on October 5th, 2025, at the age of 59 in Edgewater, CO. He was born in Doylestown, PA on August 6, 1966, to Jean and Mary Lou (Curtis) Chianese. He graduated from New Hampshire College in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He worked for Rockley Music in Lakewood, CO for many years and was a co-owner of Input Output Studios.
A self-taught musician and true rockstar, he could play any song and made it sound even better than the original. His unmatched talent and love for music brought joy to everyone who heard him play.
Though his earthly song came to an end, his spirit lives on through every life he touched through the music that continues to inspire others.
In lieu of flowers, The Curtis Chianese Memorial Mission was created to celebrate his life and continue the legacy he left behind. By donating to Rock to Recovery and Lakewood School of Music, you help others find the same peace and healing that Curtis found through music. Rock to Recovery donations can be made here and Lakewood School of Music here.
He will be remembered for his compassion, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Catherine Charlotte Chianese, his two brothers, Thomas Clinton Chianese, John Clayton Chianese and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Mary Lou Chianese, and sister Caroline Claire Pellarin,
There will be a service to honor his life at the Broomfield Commons Cemetery on November 14, 2025, at 1 pm.
