Richard E. Childers Sr. of Arcadia, MO passed away Nov. 25, 2024 at the age of 60 years, 6 months, and 21 days. He was born May 4, 1964 in Kirkwood, MO a son of the late Charles and Barbara Ann Mercer Childers. On Jan 15, 1986 he was united in marriage to Sandra Jean Robinson who survives.
To this union was born two children; Richie Eugene Childers, and Cassie Jean Wadlow and husband Kevin all of Arcadia. Four grandchildren; Joseph Raymond Eugene, and Abigail Elizabeth Irene Childers, and Gracie Jean and Brantley Wayne Wadlow.
Rich recently retired from the State of Missouri Dept. of Corrections, Bonne Terre Facility as Maintenance Supervisor. He could make or build just about anything that he put his mind to. He loved his farm and working with the cattle that he and his family raised. HIs grandchildren were am important part of his life, either taking them of four wheeler rides or on the tractor. "Always treat people the way that you would want to be treated" was his Motto.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5 at 1 PM from Cole Family Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Rothlisberger officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM Thursday.
Memorials may be made to the Faith Cowboy Church.
