Richard Clark Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home on Sep. 11, 2024.
Richard "Larry" Clark, born September 29, 1953, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on September 10, 2024. Larry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, whose life was marked by his devotion and love to his family and his passion for the simple joys of life.
Larry is survived by his sisters, Jane Mullis, Holly Ratledge, and Diane Brown; brothers, Harvey Ricky, Rodney, and Kenny, and his loving wife, Peggy Clark, with whom he shared a deep and loving bond. He was a devoted father to Eve (Cain) Snider, Melody (Ted) Bowers, Josh (Angie) Clark, and Michael (Pamela) Green. His legacy of love and care extends to his cherished grandchildren, Austin Snider, Teara Snider, Austin Green, Jordan Green, Tyler Holland, Autumn Chance, Chelsea Holland, Elijah Bowers, Damon Bowers, Mayzee Bowers, Dylan Deering, Austin Deering, and Zoe Clark, and great-grandchildren, Caden Lay, Isabell Green, Landyn Green, Layton Green, Oakley Holland, Bo Holland, Alice Chance, and Brynleigh Deering, who brought joy and laughter to his life.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ila Dean and Dewey Lee Clark and by his brothers, Tim, Marty, and Todd Clark.
Larry's greatest joy was his family, and his home was always a welcoming haven, especially for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Larry enjoyed fishing, mowing the grass, old-time gospel music, and watching country westerns.
The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Tapestry Hospice.
A memorial service to honor Larry's life will be held at Foster Mill Baptist Church at a later date, where family and friends will come together to celebrate the life of a man who will be deeply loved and missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Larry's memory to the American Cancer Society or a local charity of your choice. Larry's humor, kindness, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
