It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Richard Glenn Cooper, who passed away peacefully at the age of 80 on March 12, 2025. Born on January 12, 1945, in Commerce, Texas, he lived a full and remarkable life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and wisdom.
He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; four sons, Richie, Ronald, Randall, and Rodney; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-law, Madeleine & Charles Nicklas, and Dorothy & Jim Sanford; along with other family members, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Loretta Cooper; sister, Shirley Templeton; and brother, James David Cooper.
Richard loved his family more than anything else in the world. He shared a lifelong bond with his beloved wife of 60 years , Susan Cooper, whom he loved deeply. Together, they built a family founded on love, respect, and unwavering commitment. Their relationship was an example of true partnership and devotion.
Throughout his life, Richard showed us all the importance of hard work, loyalty, and honesty. He was a man of integrity, and the steadfast pillar of his family. He worked tirelessly to provide for those he loved, always putting their needs above his own. His advice was always straightforward and genuine, and his commitment to family was never in question. At times a man of few words but great love, his legacy lives on in the lessons he taught and the love he gave .Though he is no longer with us, he will be deeply missed and his unwavering love will remain in our hearts forever.
