Mr. Richard Cutting, age 72, of Albertville, passed away on August 25, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital. He was born on December 8, 1952, to the late Allan and Ethelyn Cutting. Richard was a man of faith and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church, where he loved worshipping and fellowshipping with his church family. He could often be found in his yard and garden, carefully tending to his flowers and plants. Richard had a special way with animals and enjoyed the companionship of his pets throughout the years. He was an avid fan of Alabama football, rarely missing a game, and he also liked keeping up with the news, always eager to stay informed. More than anything, Richard treasured time with his family. He especially enjoyed their trips to the Smoky Mountains, where the mountains became a place of rest, laughter, and wonderful memories shared together. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Peggy Cutting; daughter, Meredith Cutting (Kimberly Abbott); siblings, Jim Cutting (Lynn) and Margaret Krause (Dave); in-laws, Vanessa Williams (Max), Debbie Early (Mike), and John Wilson (Paula); along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Adams Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
