Richard George Daugard, Sr., 97, passed away on January 27, 2024, in Cabool, Missouri, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was born on May 9, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II and later worked for the railroad. He was known for his exceptional welding skills and, in his later years, retired from the Fordick Corporation in Mountain Grove. After retirement, he found joy in spending time with his family, tending to his farm, cultivating beautiful gardens, and crafting intricate miniature replicas of wagons, ships, and guns.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Susan Daugard; his parents, John Daugard, Sr. and Barbara Daugard; and his siblings, John Daugard, Jr., Phillip Daugard, and Barabara Loess.

Richard is survived by his loving children, Katie Alexander, Taleisa Baker and husband, Allen, Richard Daugard, Jr. and wife, Jennifer, and Hannah Daugard and Terry Prock. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren, Scott Sloan, Mikayla Criger, Nathan Daugard, Kodie Causey, Clinton Causey, Isam Daugard, Paige Daugard, and Rachel Prock; and five great-grandchildren, Mercy Criger, Kaydee Criger, Jaxtyn Daugard, Thea Daugard, and Ryder Croney.

A memorial service to celebrate Richard’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 3, 2024, in the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove. Your presence and support during this time of remembrance would be greatly appreciated as we honor the memory of a remarkable man.
