Richard Paul DeLuca

Richard Paul DeLuca, born on December 7, 1964, in Dorchester, passed away peacefully on May 14th, 2025, with his family by his side after a long and courageous battle with Melanoma. Rich's unwavering strength and determination were driven by his deep love for life, family, and his children.
Rich was a quiet, observant, and loving individual who dedicated himself to his children, cherishing the creation of joyful family moments. Especially the families annual summer vacations. He spent much of his time working on various projects around the house and yard. He was always eager to take on new challenges and fix whatever needed attention. Rich felt that there was nothing he could not learn or fix.
Rich enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially skiing and was a long-time coach of the special Olympics. Nurturing a serene bird sanctuary brought him great peace, while his profound love for the beach and water provided him with solace and joy.
Rich graduated from North Quincy High and Wentworth Institute. He worked as a purchasing manager for many years. While he took pride in his work, it was his devotion to his family that truly defined him.
Rich is survived by his partner and best friend, Anne Marie Mitchell of Franklin, as well as his children: Michael, Matthew and Kathryn DeLuca of South Grafton. His mother, Carol Imbornone of Merrimack, New Hampshire and late stepfather Frank Imbornone. As well as his father, Richard DeLuca of Winthrop.
Rich's siblings include his sister Carolann and husband Robert Killinger, along with their son James of Rockland. His sister Patricia and husband Derek Spanks, and their daughters Karina and Isla of Beverly. His sister, Stephanie and husband Steve Bevilacqua, along with their daughters Sofia, Francesca, and Viviana of Merrimack, New Hampshire. Rich was predeceased by his brother Michael DeLuca.
In addition to his immediate family, Rich leaves behind his loving aunts and uncles, Robert & Nancy Barry, Paul & Kathy Atkinson, Holly and late husband Michael Lyons, and cousins, Rich's ex-wife Erin Russo remains a part of his extended family.
His funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 20 in St. Mary's Church, 1 Church Square, Franklin, at 10:00 a.m.
Calling hours will be on Monday May 19 in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin

Rich's legacy is one of love, dedication, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by all who know him.
