Richard A. DeLude Sr.

TROY Richard A. DeLude Sr., 73, of 6th Ave. passed away Wednesday November 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his home after battling dementia for 5 years. Born and educated in Cohoes he was the son of the late Clarence DeLude Sr. and Celia Strait DeLude.
Richard had been employed for 26 years at the Pepsi Cola Bottling Plant in Latham and retired in 2018. Prior to that he had worked on the tugboats and several other jobs.
He was a Past Governor of the Cohoes Loyal Order of Moose and Past Grand Knight of the K of C Council in Cohoes.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Margaret Charette DeLude, his children, Amy Crowley (Louie) of Troy, Rebecca Perry (Christopher) of Cohoes, Richard DeLude Jr. (Jennifer) of Hollywood, FL, and Chad DeLude (Dianna) of Troy. He is the brother of Pamela Ross (late Thomas) of Cohoes, John Wright of South Carolina, William Wright of Cohoes, the late Clarence Jr., Robert, Ronald and Raymond DeLude, Steven Wright and Linda DeLude. His sister-in-law Mary L. DeLude of Ravena, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at noon at Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rt.32), Waterford.
Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 am - noon, prior to the funeral service.
