On February 6, 2025, Richard DeMarco, husband of the late Lorraine DeMarco, peacefully passed away at his VA home in SC. Richard was born in Patterson, NJ, on August 13, 1941, to the late Anthony and Angelina DeMarco. In 1959, he enrolled in the Air Force and faithfully served his country. On July 29, 1967 he was married to Lorraine Donofrio for 53 joyfully, adventurous years. He leaves behind two children, Richard and Nicole, his cousin Laura Sano and many friends he considered family.

Richard's life was marked by his remarkable ability to connect with people, a trait that served him well throughout his career. His professional journey in sales and service within the automotive industries was nothing short of remarkable. Over a span of 30 years, he managed and led successful teams for numerous dealerships across the southeast, leaving a legacy of excellence and camaraderie. His philosophy was simple yet profound: he never met a stranger, treating each person he encountered with respect and kindness.

Beyond his professional achievements, Richard was an avid golfer who found joy on the greens under the sun. His love for sports extended to being a dedicated fan, cheering on his favorite football and soccer teams with the same enthusiasm he brought to every aspect of his life. Richard's involvement in his children's sports and activities was unwavering, often seen on the sidelines offering support and encouragement.

Known to his friends and family as a master card player, Richard's playful spirit and sharp mind often led him to victory when he played. His sense of humor was a source of endless entertainment, and his friendly demeanor made him a beloved figure in his community.

Richard's generosity knew no bounds. He was always the first to lend a helping hand, and his willingness to give of himself made a lasting impact on those around him. His legacy is carried on by his family, who remember him as a loyal and generous man who enriched their lives with love and laughter.
