Richard Steven "Steve" Dial, 66, of Rossville passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on April 11, 1956 to the late, Robert F. Dial, Sr. and Ethel Stewart Dial and had lived in the Chattanooga & North Georgia areas for most of his life. He was of the Christian faith and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed with J.M. Specialties for more than 36 years as a Garage Door Technician and loved spending time with his family & friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend that will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of more than 45 years, Sharon Lamb Dial; daughters & sons-in-law, Tiffany (Kevin) Lands, Melissa Simmons, Tracy (David) Tipton; sisters, Linda Rogers, and Roxie Dial; brother, Bobby Dial, and many half sisters and brothers; grandchildren; Reece, Isaac & (Ashley), Peyton, Hailie and Caitlin; great grandson; Eason; son-in-law, J.R. Norton; several nieces, nephews and extended family & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 17, 2023 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel of Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Goins officiating. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Monday and prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
