Richard Lee Dillman, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Heritage Park Nursing Home. He was born in Fort Wayne, on September 4, 1944, to Otho E. and Lucille (Hines) Dillman. He graduated from Roanoke High School in 1963; and enlisted in the United States Army in 1965. Richard was married to Carol Jean Doswell on November 29, 1969, in Fort Wayne. He was a trucking dispatcher with several trucking companies throughout the Fort Wayne area. He was a member of the Kokomo Spirit Wind Church and the I.O.O.F Harmony Lodge #19 in Fort Wayne. Richard enjoyed photography, movies, going to plays, and weekend trips. Richard is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol J. Dillman; four daughters, Cyrinthia (Matthew) Dewart, Cheryl Dillman, Christina Dillman, and Constance (Samuel) Powless; a sister, Patricia Parrott; a brother, Ronald (Hazel) Dillman; ten grandchildren, Angela, Eric, Zachary, Phillip, Ezekiel, Noah, Elijah, Rachel, Nathaniel, and Cazandrea; two great-grandchildren, Bryar and Chione. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Sheets and Childs Funeral Home, Huntertown Chapel, 16830 Lima Road Huntertown, IN 46748, with calling one hour prior to service. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, from 2-4 & 6-8. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials to Donor's Choice.
