Richard Dobek Obituary

Rich served in the United States Army, and upon being discharged he joined the Hamtramck Police Reserves in 1967. During his career in the reserves he was able to outfit the department with their first radio system and patrol cars. He was honored as Police Reserve of the Year in 2012 and in 2015 he was the first officer to be promoted to Deputy Chief.
Rich was a lineman in the cable industry and did most of the cable in Hamtramck when it was brought online in the early 80's. He was the original "Cable Guy."
In lieu of flowers the family ask for donation be made to cover Richard's funeral costs.
