Janice M. Dobek nee Hassen. Age 72. New Lenox resident, formerly of Riverdale and Chicago's Roseland Neighborhood. Graduate of Fenger High School. Received her Bachelors and Master's Degree in Special Education from Illinois State University. Retired Special Education Teacher after 34 years from Eisenhower High School in Blue Island and 4 years from Allen B. Shepard High School in Palos Heights. Parishioner of St Mary Church, Mokena. Wife for 46 years of Richard C. Dobek. Mother of Michael "Michelle" Dobek. Daughter of the late Marjorie C. nee Sharp and Leon J. Hassen. Sister of Caron Hassen and Gregory (Ann) Hassen. Aunt of Meghan, Natalie and Sarah. Friend to many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave), Chicago Heights on Monday December 16, 2024 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Family and friends will meet at St Mary Church, 19515 S. 115th Avenue, Mokena, IL on Tuesday December 17, 2024 for Funeral Mass 10:00 am. Interment private. Info 708-481-9230 and panozzobros.com.

She was my teacher at Eisenhower high school and was very nice & sweet love her personality & she always was a caring person & she will be missed & loved rip to her & her family and she use to let you listen to music once you where done with your work!!!! And watch movies also on the tv & use to order pizza for the class

Mrs.dobek was my special Ed teacher, every quarter, she use to order pizza for the classmates that who got a good perfect grade, plus she let her students watch movies, rest in peace ms.dobek, you are going to be truly missed.

Mrs.dobek was my math and social studies teacher in high School, she was a good teacher and nice and polite, you are truly missed, while you are in heaven, tell me Mrs salvatori and the best of staff and students who are in heaven, tell them I said hi, God bless you and your family.
