Richard Durand Obituary
September 6, 1935–October 12, 2024
Richard "Dick" Gilbert Durand, 89, of Spooner, WI, passed away peacefully at his home on October 12, 2024. He was born on September 6, 1935, in Webster, WI, to Gilbert and Fern Durand.
Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Emily; his daughter Julie (Craig) Cable of Spooner, WI; and his son Jon (Jennifer) Durand of Belgrade, MT. He was a proud grandfather to Ben (Jenny) Richter of Victoria, MN; Emmie (Justin) Crotteau of Rice Lake, WI; Lee (Allison) Richter of Superior, WI; Cole Durand (Mickala Marie Johnston) of Belgrade, MT; Luke Durand of Belgrade, MT; Zachary Durand of Belgrade, MT; and Wyatt Durand of Belgrade, MT. Richard was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Nina, Mia, Elsie and Evelyn Richter; Carmen and Benjamin Crotteau; and Jakob and Brooklyn Durand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Fern Durand; his son Perry Durand; his daughter Kim Durand; and his grandson Luke Richter.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful nurses whose care and compassion made Richard's final days peaceful. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
Richard will be remembered for his love of family and the legacy he leaves behind.
