Richard Earl Edwards, 66, of Whigham, passed away at home on July 10, 2024. He was born in Fort Walton Beach, FL on July 23, 1957, to the late Thurston Eugene Edwards and Odessa Smythia.
Richard was a huge FSU football fan. Throughout life, he enjoyed Enduro Motocross, softball with Astro Travel, traveling and loved dancing and karaoke. He was an extremely hard worker and business owner, being a very skilled tile mason.
He is survived by his fiancé, Kathy Shiver, daughter, Ashley Edwards Jarvis (Matt) of Tallahassee, son, Sterling Edwards of Cairo, grandchildren, Caiden Edwards, Gracie Edwards, Camden Edwards, Brothers, Raymond Edwards of Tallahassee, and Eddie Edwards of Cozumel, Mexico, several nieces and nephews, former wives, Karen Edwards and Pamela Butler Edwards, along with the many, many friends who he treated as family.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Thurston Edwards Jr. and Michael Edwards.
A celebration of life will be held on July 23, 2024, at 4 pm at The Plaza Restaurant, 217 South Broad Street, Thomasville, Georgia.
