Richard Eix Obituary
Beloved husband of Jeri Eix. Cherished father of Laura (Kenneth) Stallons, Susan (Kerry) Mallock and step-father of Robert Raynal, Wesley (Maria) Raynal and Andrea Raynal. Adored grandfather of Rachel (James) Cormany, James Stallons, Nancy (Zachery) Madaj, Kevin Mallock, Ryan (Taylor) Mallock, Andrew Stallons and step-grandfather of Cameron (Krystal) Hagadon, Jordan Hagadon, Mackenzie Russ, Colson Hagadon, Wesley (Whitney) Raynal, Mary Raynal and Timothy Raynal. Proud great-grandfather of Tyler Cormany, Alexis Cormany, Levi Cormany, Ava Cormany and step-great-grandfather of Ava Hagadon and Emmett Russ. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his first wife, Esther; parents, Norman and Marion Eix; and sister Lorraine (Frank) Kramer.
Richard proudly served in the United States Air Force and the Air National Guard. Richard was a member of Bethesda Christian Church since 1953 where he wore many hats, including an elder, deacon and Sunday school teacher among other roles. His faith was important to him and he loved to serve his church and community. In his free time, Richard enjoyed traveling and flying. He was proud to be a pilot. Richard loved good food and a beautiful garden. Richard loved his family and especially loved being a grandfather. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.
Visitation Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 3-9pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc., 36900 Schoenherr at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Instate Friday, December 29, 2023 10am until time of 11am funeral at Bethesda Christian Church, 14000 Metro Parkway (enter off Schoenherr, S. of Metro Parkway), Sterling Hts.
