Richard Steven Eliot, 75 of Clay passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville.
Richard was born in Seymour, IN on September 5, 1948 to the late Harold Gene and Shirley Ann Eliot.
Richard was a Sergeant on the Marion County Sheriff's department in Indianapolis, IN later he became a detective and a polygraph examiner and trainer. He was a member of Covenant Community Church in Madisonville.
Along with his parents Richard is preceded in death by a brother David Gene Eliot.
Survivors include his wife Stacey of Clay, 2 daughters Katelyn Chandler (Orion)of Jacksonville, NC, Meagan Morgan (Mark) of Clay, 1 son Chris Hill of Madisonville, 1 brother Ronald Eliot (Jackie) of Columbus, IN, 2 grandchildren Madelynn Chandler, Avery Gibbs and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Vanover Funeral Home in Clay with Dr. Michael Knight officiating. Burial will be in New Clay Cemetery in Clay. Visitation will be Thursday 10:00 am till service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to PACTUS, 1055 North Main St., Madisonville, KY42431. Please make checks payable to PACTUS. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
