Richard Bruce Epling, 64, of Grayson, KY, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. Richard was born on May 28, 1960, in Columbus, OH, a son of the late James Epling and Lavetta Meade Holston. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Robin Lawson; and sister-in-law, Karen Epling. Richard worked as a painter through the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. He loved his family and enjoyed working on small engines. Richard enjoyed learning about iron and blast furnaces. Richard was known for being a history buff, especially local history. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of forty-one years, Linda Morin Epling; three sons, Jason (Shawna) Morin of Orlando, FL, Jeffrey (Melissa) Morin of Ashland, KY, and Richard (Ashley) Epling, JR. of Ashland, KY; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three brothers James "Pete" Epling of Olive Hill, KY, Jerry (Bunni) Epling of Raceland, KY, and Sean Holston of Franklin Furnace, OH; two sisters, Roberta (Dan) Epling Adkins of Grayson, KY and Maggie Holston of Franklin Furnace, OH; and a host of extended family and friends that will mourn his passing. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made towards Richard's funeral expenses by contacting Malone Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Bible Baptist Church in Catlettsburg, KY from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon). Malone funeral home is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the arrangements of Richard Bruce Epling.
