Richard S. Ficzko

Richard Stanley Ficzko, age 79, of Bayville, NJ passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025. Richard was born in Union and was formerly of Wirtz, VI before moving to Bayville in 2021. Richard worked for 40 years for Bell Labs. He started with them when they were Western Electric and retired after they became Lucent. He was a US Army Vietnam and Combat Veteran. Richard loved fishing and hunting. You could find him shooting clay pigeons and casting a line to hook a big fish. Richard was an enthusiast of sport cars particularly Corvettes.

Predeceased by his son, Brian. He is survived by his three daughters, Jackie Coltin and her husband Eddie, Lori Ficzko and Jennifer Pagano; five grandchildren Vanessa, Nichole, Meghan, Joseph and Anna, a brother Joseph Ficzko and his wife Sharon along with many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 pm at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9, Forked River, NJ 08731. A Funeral Service will be offered at 7:00 pm followed with Military Honors. Cremation will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any charity or organization that helps our Veterans and active-duty members in Richard's name.
