Richard J. Finkbeiner, 96, of Bethlehem Township, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023. His wife of 55 years, Mildred (Berger) Finkbeiner, died November 13, 2003.
Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late John G. and Mabel C. (Fritchman) Finkbeiner.
An Air Force veteran of World War II, Richard was employed as a mechanic at James River, Forks Township, for 42 years before retiring in 1988.
He was a life long member of St. John's UCC Church in Farmersville. He belonged to the Belfast Rod and Gun Club.
Surviving are a brother Kermit Finkbeiner of Palmer Township; a sister Janet Morrissey of Breinigsville; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Walter and Roy Finkbeiner and sisters June Arnold and Mae Pursel.
Services will be held on Friday, April 14, at 1:00 PM in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by interment in Farmersville Cemetery. Family and friends may call Friday from 12 noon until services begin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. John's UCC Church, 8065 William Penn Highway, Easton, PA 18045.
